How it works

Tell us about your items
Easily submit photos and detailed information online using the form below. Our experts will evaluate your submission to understand your item's value.
- 2.
Consignment Agreement
Upon completion of the evaluation, we'll provide a Consignment Agreement for your review. The agreement will include an auction date, sales commission, and other relevant information.
- 3.
Auction Preparation
Once the Consignment Agreement has been signed, simply ship your items to us. We'll prepare them for our online auction, where thousands of collectors can compete to bid on them.
- 4.
Sale
If your item sells, we'll process payment to you. Otherwise, we'll send your item back to you, fully-insured for a flat shipping fee.

We specialize in helping you sell pre-owned fine jewelry and luxury watches of every era, both signed and unsigned. While your item does not need to be made by a famous maker to sell with Hampton, we do sell jewelry and watches by premium brands such as Cartier, Rolex, Van Cleef & Arpels, Patek Philippe, Bulgari, Vacheron Constantin, Omega, and more.
Preliminary auction evaluations can take up to one week to complete. Please note that this evaluation is subject to change upon physical inspection of your property.
Hampton's experts take many factors into consideration when determining an estimate for your item, including brand, vintage, condition, current market demand, and the inclusion of any branded collateral, to name just a few.
While Hampton Estate Auction does not provide packing and shipping services, we have a list of recommended third party shippers to assist you in delivering your item(s) to our New York office.
If an item does not sell, Hampton Estate Auction will have the item shipped back to you, fully insured, for a flat fee of $85USD.
One of our representatives will contact you within 5 business days after the auction. Settlement checks and statements are mailed out thirty days after the auction.
When purchasing at Hampton Estate Auction, a premium is paid by the buyer based on the hammer price. The settlement with our consignors is based on the hammer price, which is the total cost, excluding buyer's premium and tax.
There are no fees to consign your item for sale with Hampton. There is a seller’s commission, which is 10% of the hammer price. For example, if your item sells for $5,000 in auction, you’ll receive $4,500.
